Dr. Mallar Bhattacharya is critical care and pulmonary specialist who cares for patients hospitalized with critical illness or lung disease. Bhattacharya's research interests include pneumonia, septic shock, and severe asthma. After earning a bachelor's degree at Harvard College and a master's degree in neuroscience at the University of Oxford, Bhattacharya attended Harvard Medical School. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCSF. He also did research training at the UCSF Lung Biology Center.
