Malakh Lal Shrestha is currently working as a Professor of Cardiac Surgery, Director of Aortic Surgery, and Vice Chairman of the Division of Cardiothoracic, Transplantation, and Vascular Surgery at the Hannover Medical School (Medizinische Hochschule Hannover) in Germany. He is also the Program Director of Cardiac Surgical residency and is involved in the surgical training of the Residents. He has more than 130 original papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of AATS, EACTS, ISMICS, GSCTVS, GCS, and NMA. He has done pioneering work in the field of Sutureless Aortic Valve Prosthesis as well as Frozen Elephant Trunk Prosthesis. He has given more than 150 presentations at international meetings and hospitals.
He is a visiting professor at several universities in different countries of the world: the University of Barcelona (Spain), the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu (Nepal), and the EACTS Academy (UK).
