Maisa Seppala DDS, MSc, PhD, MOrth, RCSEd

Maisa (DDS, MSc, PhD, MOrth RCSEd) graduated as a dentist in 2002 at Oulu Dental Institute, Finland. She completed her PhD funded by an EU Early Stage Marie Curie Fellowship in Craniofacial Development at King’s College London in 2009, under the supervision of Paul Sharpe and Martyn Cobourne. She was appointed as a Walport Academic Clinical Fellow (2008-2011) and undertook specialist training in orthodontics at King’s College London and St George’s Hospital. She is now a Clinical Lecturer in Orthodontics at King’s College London and works on Shh co-receptor function in early craniofacial development.
