Dr. Mai Huong Ho-Tran has been practicing physical therapy since 2002. She holds a Master’s from Chapman University and a doctorate from SFSU/UCSF’s Graduate Program in PT. She completed Evidence in Motion’s Fellowship in Pain Science and is currently the Director of the Pain Science Fellowship. She was also the Lead PT for Chronic Pain in the Northern CA Kaiser Permanente region.
Dr. Ho-Tran has taught and spoken at multiple conferences, following her passion for educating fellow clinicians to enhance the quality of care for patients. She enjoys treating persistent pain, neurological disorders, women’s health, spinal conditions, pediatric pain, and geriatrics. Dr. Ho-Tran speaks Vietnamese and Spanish fluently. Her experience also delves deeply into mindfulness, yoga therapy, Tai Chi, Feldenkrais, and somatic movement retraining. She is the founder of Holistic Health PT, providing continuing education experiential retreats for PTs and healthcare providers. She’s a proud yogi, runner, agent of change, lifelong learner, and, most importantly, a mother and loving partner.
