Dr. Mahir Al Hilali before joining Mediclinic Group as Director of Laboratory Services was a Consultant Haematologist in Dorset County Hospital, the UK for more than 25 years. Since 2012 he served as Consultant Haemato-Oncologist in Mediclinic City Hospital and Medical Director of Population Health with GE Healthcare IT for the EAGM Region. He has extensive experience in healthcare management from his time as Clinical and Medical Director at the NHS, UK and in the private healthcare sector (GCC & the Middle East). In addition to Clinical Haematology and Laboratory Medicine, Dr Hilali’s specialist areas of interest and expertise are in healthcare IT and population health management (including clinical risk and quality management). He is a World Health Organization expert in Haematology and Oncology and is a Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath).
