Since 2014 he enjoys working as a hospital pharmacist every day at the Catharina Hospital. One of his areas of interest is the pharmaceutical analysis of my own preparations. All self-prepared medicines first undergo a strict analytical check before they are distributed to our departments and/or other hospitals.

In addition, as an ICT pharmacist, he is responsible for a safe and well-functioning ICT set-up of all applications used within the pharmacy. He comes into contact with many work processes, which means that I find this task very diverse and challenging.

He strongly supports the further application of pharmacogenetics. This involves a genetic test that predicts how a patient will respond to a particular drug. Based on this test, the choice and dosage of the drug are then tailored to the individual patient. In this way, the safety and effectiveness of the treatment can be increased. He is committed to further expanding this 'tailor-made therapy' in a multidisciplinary context in the coming years.
