Maarten Albersen MD, PhD, FECSM, FEBU

Dr. Maarten Albersen obtained his degree in medicine at KU Leuven in 2006 and completed a doctorate, dealing with the possibility of stem cell treatment for erectile dysfunction after pelvic surgery, in 2012. He spent a year in San Francisco at the University of California, San Francisco.

He also conducted research on Peyronie’s disease in Milan, and on nerve damage during radical prostatectomy at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.

In 2015 he graduated as a urologist and followed an additional specialization in andrology (male sexuality and fertility) at University College London.

Prof. dr. Dr. Albersen focuses on andrological problems and uro-oncology (with specific attention to tumors of the penis, testicle, kidney, adrenal gland, and bladder). He is active as a urologist-andrologist and researcher at KU Leuven and in Life Expert Center.
