Maaike Bleeker PhD, MCA

Dr. Maaike Bleeker work as a clinical pathologist at the pathology departments of VUmc and AMC. Bleeker is specialized in gynecological pathology and participates as a pathologist in the weekly multidisciplinary meeting where gynecological cancer patients from the region are discussed. These patients are treated in the Center for Gynecological Oncology Amsterdam (CGOA). My scientific research focuses on the development of HPV-related cancers in the vulva, uterus, anus, and penis. In 2005 Bleeker obtained my PhD cum laude on the subject of HPV infection in sexual partners.
