Marcio Marc Abreu MD

Dr. Marcio Marc Abreu, MD is The Head of Scientific Research at The Brain Tunnelgenix Technologies Corp. Dr. Abreu is a medical doctor, ophthalmologist, and anesthesiologist, who currently holds a post as clinical faculty at the Department of Anesthesiology of Yale University School of Medicine. He is also the Co-Director of the BTT Interdisciplinary Research Unit of Yale University. 

He was previously a post-doctoral fellow and faculty at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of Yale School of Medicine as well as former faculty at Harvard Medical School. He was a recipient of several grants, including grants from the United States Department of Defense, Research to Prevent Blindness, and the Massachusetts Lions Research Fund. His previous accomplishments and scientific achievements include: while at Harvard developed advanced laser systems for the U.S. Air Force; patented Opto-electromagnetic tonometric systems and licensed them to Nestl and its pharmaceutical unit, Alcon Laboratories; worked on spectroscopy culminating with the identification of the Radiation Signature of Glucose within the mid-infrared wavelength irradiated as thermal energy from the body.
