Lynn (lynn Williamson) Smith EdD, MSN, RN, MDiv, CNE BC

Lynn Smith is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing in the College of Health Professions at Northern Kentucky University. Her clinical background includes work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Critical Care, as well as direct nursing for patients with cardiovascular disorders, ranging from community and home care, Open Heart Surgery Recovery, ICU, CCU, step down telemetry units, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. She completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis on nursing education. Her dissertation focused on enhancing nurses’ cultural skills and attitudes through education abroad. She currently holds certification as a Certified Nurse Educator, and as a Board Certified Cardiac-Vascular nurse. Lynn completed a Master’s Degree in Divinity (M.Div.) and is an ordained minister serving with the Disciples of Christ Christian Church.
