Lutz Thorsten Weber

Lutz T. Weber is currently serving as a Professor of Pediatrics and heads the division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Children`s and Adolescents´ Hospital, University Hospital of Cologne. His main interest is to optimize the therapy of pediatric renal diseases with emphasis on renal transplantation, nephrotic syndrome, and congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract. Besides pediatric nephrology, he holds specializations in neonatology and hypertensiology. He has widespread experience in clinical science reflected in a large publication record. Lutz T. Weber is an awardee of considerable prizes such as the one for Better Medicines For Children and the Johannes-Brodehl-Award of the German Society for Pediatric Nephrology. He has been appointed editor and reviewer for numerous notable journals and is treasurer of the German Society for Pediatric Nephrology.
