Luke A. Pluto MD

Luke A. Pluto, M.D. is an attending physician with the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical Center and has been appointed assistant professor in pulmonary and critical care at Albany Medical College. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine. Dr. Pluto specializes in pulmonary disease but is most passionate about treating patients with sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and other conditions.

Throughout Dr. Pluto’s medical career, he has maintained an interest in sleep disorders. During his Internal Medicine residency in Chicago, he was introduced to sleep apnea. During is Pulmonary fellowship, he was exposed to the topic of upper airway muscle innervation, and had the opportunity to observe a polysomnogram.
