Lukas Nystrom, MD, is a staff physician in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Iowa, and a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Florida. He specializes in the surgical treatment of musculoskeletal tumors.
In medical school Dr. Nystrom was to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, an Emerging Leader member of the American Orthopaedic Association, and a full member of the Orthopaedic Research Society, Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and International Society of Limb Salvage.
Dr. Nystrom is interested in advanced techniques in limb-sparing surgery for musculoskeletal tumors, as well as in complex hip and knee replacement surgery. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles, and numerous book chapters and has made many national and international presentations on topics related to orthopedic oncology.
