Luisa M. Solis Soto is an assistant professor in the Department of Translational Molecular Pathology (TMP), MD Anderson Cancer Center, and a faculty lead of the TMP immune profiling laboratory (TMP-IL). She completed a surgical pathologist residency program in the Catholic University-Chile, and then a postdoctoral fellowship in the molecular pathology laboratory at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC). She has longstanding expertise in molecular and immune pathology and digital image analysis. Dr. Solis Soto’s research focus is the integration of pathology and biomarker analysis in tumor tissue for the development of predictive biomarkers, particularly in the realms of immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Dr. Solis Soto’s laboratory performs tissue-based biomarker development using immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization techniques, digital image analysis, and High-plex platforms including digital spatial profiling.
