Luis del Carpio-Orantes, graduated as a surgeon by the University of Chiapas in Chiapas, Mexico in 2003, graduated as a specialist physician in Internal Medicine at the Regional High Specialty Hospital of Veracruz and by the University of Veracruz in Veracruz, Mexico in 2008. He works as a doctor Internist and in intensive care at General Hospital 71 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security. Member of the College of Internal Medicine of Mexico and certified by the Mexican Council of Internal Medicine.
He is the author of several articles related to critical care, highlighting disseminated intravascular coagulation, as well as topics related to arboviruses and emergent viral diseases (influenza, dengue, chikungunya and zika), indexed in PubMed, Redalyc, Google Scholar and Imbiomed. He is an expert columnist of the Ibero-American Society of Scientific Information with the topic of emerging viruses. He has been a reviewer of several medical journals highlighting the participation for PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases and Archives of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care.
He has participated in national and international congresses with posters and free work with topics related to infectology and critical care. Independent researcher in the area of dengue and its treatment. He has directed thesis at the undergraduate level. He is currently a professor of undergraduate and postgraduate.Presently he was working as-Member at Red Mexicana de Virologia,Researcher at Mexican Social Security Institute and Columnist at Iberoamerican Society of Scientific Information
