Luis Cabero Roura PhD

Dr. Luis Cabero Roura, Ph.D. is a Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Autonomous in Barcelona. Cabero is a Ph.D. degree in Medicine and Surgeons in 1975, and a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences in 1988. Former President of the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetricians (SEGO), and former President of the Federation of Spanish Scientific-Medical Associations. President of the Board of the Specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Has been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2003. He was President of FIGO Scientific Committee Chile in 2003 and has been a member of the Board of FIGO since 1997. He also served as Vice-President of FIGO from 2003 to 2006. Is the Former Chair of the Capacity Building in Education and Training Committee of FIGO.

Is a member of 27 Scientific International Societies and invited speaker in more than 650 International Meetings. He received numerous awards and on five occasions was nominated Doctor Honoris Causa by relevant international universities. Also is a Fellow ad Aundem of the RCOG and an Honorary Fellow of the American Colleges of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Received the Gran Cruz de la Orden Civil de Sanidad, the highest recognition for Spanish health professionals. He is an Honorary Professor at many international Universities, and Visiting Professor at the Corneil University of New York. Is an Honorary Member of the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine and the Academic of the Academia de Paraguay and Academia del Zulia (Venezuela). He published more than 175 (Pubmed: Cabero L; Cabero Roura L; Roura LC)  peer-review publications and 256 chapters in books. Has been Editor of 62 medical books.
