Luigi Santacroce PhD

Luigi Santacroce currently serves as Associate Professor of Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology at the Interdisciplinary Department of Medicine, University of Bari Aldo Moro. Luigi is involved in research studies about human microbiota and its cross-talk with different metabolic and functional pathways, the oncogenic activity of microorganisms, and probiotics. Furthermore, he studies natural antimicrobial compounds including nutraceuticals and essential oils. He received national and international awards and grants, authored more than 160 scientific papers in international journals, and is invited speaker and chairman in several international meetings.
