Lucy Eldridge

Lucy Eldridge is the Dietetic Team leader at The Royal Marsden where she is a member of the palliative care MDT. Prior to joining the Marsden in 2011 she worked for almost 15 years at a large teaching hospital working within the field of Oncology and Palliative care. As part of this role she set up and developed the dietetic service at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney.

She continues to have a keen interest in the role of nutrition in palliative care and is on the committee of the national Palliative Care Dietetic Group, a sub group of the BDA Oncology Group. She is also the Treasurer for the BDA Oncology Group. She has an MSc in Cancer Care. She has developed a joint service with physiotherapists for patients who are in the survivorship phase, post their cancer treatment who want to make positive lifestyle changes.

She has written a chapter on nutrition and palliative care and another on the psychosocial influences on food choice of cancer patients. She has spoken at local, national and international conferences on a variety of topics relating to cancer and/or palliative care.
