Lucy MB BChir, PhD

Dr. Lucy Chappell is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at King’s College London and an Honorary Consultant Obstetrician at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. In collaboration with local, national and international colleagues, she runs a research programme investigating prediction and prevention of adverse pregnancy outcomes, in women both with pre-existing co-morbidities and new onset gestational diseases such as intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, using randomised controlled trials and observational studies. She is co-lead for R&D in Women’s Health at GSTT, lead for Integrated Academic Trainees in Women’s Health at KCL, a member of the London NIHR Research For Patient Benefit Regional Advisory Committee, and a consulting editor for PLoS Medicine.
