Luciana Vercoza Viana is a Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA) (2001), Medical Residency in Internal Medicine at UFCSPA (2002-2003), and Endocrinology (2004-2006) at the Endocrinology Service of Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), Master's (2008), Doctorate (2012) and Post-Doctorate (2014) in Endocrinology by the Graduate Program in Endocrinology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Specialist in Endocrinology by SBEM and Nutrology by ABRAN. Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at UFRGS. Preceptor of the Residency of Internal Medicine and Neurology at HCPA. Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program in Medicine: Endocrinology. Member of CNPq research groups: GNE - Group on Nutrition in Endocrinology and Chronic Complications of Diabetes and Strategies for the Treatment of Diabetes. He has experience in the area of ​​Medicine, with emphasis on Endocrinology and Clinical Nutrition, working mainly on the following topics: Diabetes Mellitus, chronic complications of DM, clinical nutrition, and systematic reviews and meta-analyses of dietary interventions in diabetes and associated conditions.
