Lucia Torracca MD

Doctor Lucia Torracca, specialized in cardiovascular surgery and has been a staff surgeon at San Raffaele Hospital, Segrate, Italy, since 1997. Currently she is Head of the Cardiac Surgery Unit in Ospedali Riuniti, Ancona, Italy.

Doctor Torracca is a fellow of the Italian Society of Cardiac Surgery, The European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery and The European Society of Cardiology.

Dedicated to mitral valve repair for many years, she has established the minimally invasive surgical program in San Raffaele Hospital and in Ospedali Riuniti. She has recently published her long-term results in minimally invasive mitral repair.

Doctor Torracca has served as a member of the Master of Valve Therapy education board since 2012.
