Lucia Sereni PhD

Dr. Lucia Sereni got her PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Anna Villa at San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget, Milan), working on a project aimed to dissect the platelet defect in Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome, a severe primary immunodeficiency. In 2019, she moved to Boston, and she joined the newly established lab of Dr. Pietro Genovese at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, after receiving the 2019-2020 Postdoctoral Fellowship from the American-Italian Cancer Foundation. At Dana-Farber, Dr. Sereni focused on the development of new personalized treatments for the cure of solid tumors by exploiting cutting-edge gene editing technologies.
