Lucia Giombini

Dr Lucia Giombini is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS: 345831) and registered as Clinical Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC: PYL29788). She has considerable experience of working with Eating Disorders (EDs) in all age ranges, and some of the emotional difficulties that are associated with them (e.g. anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder). She values working in a multi-disciplinary team, adopting a broad-spectrum approach to the management of children, adolescents and adults with EDs (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorders). She is currently involved in providing individual and group therapy and developing research within in a EDs inpatient service – Rhodes Farm, Partnership In Care- (London) under the supervision of Professor Bryan Lask and Dr Sophie Nesbitt, -Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Head of Psychology Team-.
Lucia has a strong academic and research background both in Europe and the UK. She is the author of several publications and conferences papers in Italian and English regarding EDs and cognitive and emotional processes in young and adult population. In her private practice, she offers a range of psychological interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Remediation Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy.
