Lucia Ballerini PhD

Lucia Ballerini is a researcher in the scientific sector ING-INF/05 (Computer Engineering) at the University for Foreigners of Perugia as RTDb (since October 2022). After the Degree in Electronic Engineering, from the University of Florence in 1993 and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, from the University of Bologna in 1998, he obtained the title of "Docent" in Image Analysis, from Uppsala University, Sweden in 2006.

Since 1999 she has carried out research activities in the field of medical image processing at various European Universities and Research Centres: Center for Image Analysis, Uppsala, Sweden; University of Orebro, Sweden; European Center for Soft Computing, Mieres, Spain; School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, UK; School of Computing, University of Dundee, UK, Center for Clinical Brain Sciences, Edinburgh Imaging, University of Edinburgh, UK. She is the author of numerous publications, including 47 articles in scientific journals, 8 book chapters, 72 papers presented at international conferences, and 42 other contributions.
