Luca Russo

Luca Russo is currently the VP-Head of Global Clinical Supply Chain at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a J&J company. He has more than 20 years of experience as an Industry leader in supply chain across several sectors from Consumer to Medical Device to Pharma, both Commercial as well as Clinical. With a background in MS in Mechanical Engineering, he has always been passionate to improve the business landscape through technology, digital innovation and people development.
Luca is leading a global value stream division for Janssen R&D of about 400 people spread over 9 different locations in US, Europe and China. This Unit ensures timely design, manufacturing, distribution and dosing at the clinic of more than 400 clinical trials per year on global level; the organization encompasses several competencies and technology ranging from API production for both small and large molecules, drug product manufacturing and packaging and labelling of clinical KITs.
