Luca Liberaleber MD

Luca obtained his MD degree at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 2012 defending his thesis entitled ‘Erythrocyte cell wall defects correlate with the stage of liver cirrhosis. In 2018, he got his medical training in Internal Medicine at the Hospital San Martino, Genoa. Since 2017, Luca has been a research assistant at the Center for Molecular Cardiology, University of Zurich. His research investigates the molecular links between aging, cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Luca has been the author of more than 90 scientific articles, he is the Editor of the European Heart Journal, Deputy Editor of the European Journal of Clinical Investigation, and a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Cardiology. He has spoken as a keynote speaker and invited lecturer at national and international congresses and has received awards for his works at different national and international meetings.
