Luc Valiquette MD, CSPQ, FRCSC, FACS

Dr. Valiquette is a urologist surgeon at the Hospital of the University of Montreal. He completed his medical training at the University of Montreal and her residency at McGill University. It was at the University of Montreal he undertook, subsequently, its specialization in urology. He conducted postdoctoral studies in urodynamics at the University Hospital of Nantes, France, in 1984 and in surgical techniques for establishing genitourinary prostheses and endo-urology at Baylor University in Houston, United States in 1985.

At the University of Montreal, Dr. Valiquette is Professor and Director of the Department of Surgery. He was director of the education program urology and still teaches surgery and urology at undergraduate and postgraduate

Dr. Valiquette was a member of the Accreditation Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. CHUM, he was president of the council of physicians, dentists and pharmacists, medical assistant at the Department of Professional Services and Chief of Urology Service Currently, in addition to the direction of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Valiquette's chief clinician Council of the technological transition and Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the Clinical Information System.

Dr. Valiquette was also deputy director for clinical research at the CHUM. He has participated in numerous clinical research projects, most of which were related to the pharmacological and surgical treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, urinary stones and medical informatics.

As chairman or member of the organizing committee, Dr. Valiquette has participated in several conferences in urology at the provincial, national and international. He has been president of the Urological Association of Quebec and the Canadian Urological Association estactuellement vice president of the International Society of Urology.

He is also board member of several committees of pharmaceutical companies and non-profit organizations, including Procure and Continence people of Canada Foundation is also a member of the medical group Infoway Canada Council.
