Luc Mallet is a psychiatrist and a researcher in neuroscience, a professor of psychiatry at UPEC in the Department of Hospital-University PePSY dedicated to the personalized approach to psychiatric disorders. He leads the translational research team BEBG at the Institute of Brain and Spinal Cord ( ICM ).
He was Head of Clinical Assistant in Psychiatry at the CHU Henri Mondor in Créteil and then at the Pitie-Salpetriere in Paris. At the same time, he acquired a neuroscience training with a thesis in functional imaging at the CEA and a post-doctorate in experimental psychology at the CNRS. In 2004, he was recruited as a researcher, Inserm was promoted to research director in 2009 to study the behavioral aspects of deep brain stimulation and develop innovative therapies in psychiatry. His research program aims to identify the processes of information processing within the basal ganglia in connection with psychopathology and to develop innovative therapies for severe disorders and resistant to medical treatment
