Luai A. Ahmed MBBS, PhD

Dr. Ahmed is an Associate Professor of epidemiology at the Institute of Public health, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. He has a special interest in the epidemiology and prevention of chronic diseases, and the fields of study designs, research methodology, and data analysis. He has contributed to various successful research projects, received many research grants, and published several scientific articles. His current research focuses on the epidemiology of diabetes, cancer, and mother and child health. Dr. Ahmed is the PI for the Mutaba’ah Mother and Child Health Study. He is also a co-investigator in many other research projects.
