Lu Xuefeng

LU Xuefeng, Ph. D, Professor, Group Leader of Microbial Metabolic Engineering Group, Director of Key Laboratory of Biofuels, Deputy Director General of Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. LU graduated from University of New Mexico with Biochemistry Ph. D degree in 2005, did his Postdoctoral research in Stanford University from 2005 to 2008, and elected as CAS Hundred-Talent Project in 2008. He was founded by the Excellent Youth Award of Shandong Natural Science Foundation and the Shandong Taishan Scholarship. Main Research interest of Prof. LU’s group is cyanobacterial metabolic engineering as well as biosynthesis of biofuels and biochemicals. Dr. LU has published over 28 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals including Biotechnology Advances, the Journal of American Chemical Society, Energy & Environmental Science, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Biochemistry, Metabolic Engineering, as well as Biotechnology for Biofuels.
