L. Rachid Salmi, MD, PhD is a Professor of Public Health and Director of the Institute of Public Health, Epidemiology and Development (ISPED) at the University of Bordeaux, Hospital Practitioner at the University Hospital of Bordeaux (Head of the Methods Unit Health Information System of the Medical Information Service). My research activities concern the development of epidemiological methods and their application to the prevention of adverse events (road safety and safety of the healthcare system ...) and are part of the team "Prevention and management of traumas" (INSERM U-897), Epidemiology and Biostatistics Research Center (Bordeaux).
