Dr. Jenis received his MD from Boston University. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency program and an orthopaedic research fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Following his residency, he completed a reconstructive spine surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
After his fellowship, Dr. Jenis joined the faculty at the New England Baptist Hospital, and in 2008 he moved his service to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. As Chief of the Spine Service, Dr. Jenis will see patients at the MGH main campus in Boston and continue to see patients at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Dr. Jenis is a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society, the Lumber Spine Research Society, the International Society for the Study of the Lumber Spine, the AAOS and the American Orthopaedic Association. He is a recipient of the North American Spine Society Clinical Travelling Fellowship, the Japanese Orthopaedic Association/American Orthopaedic Association Traveling Fellowship and has been a keynote and Grand Rounds speaker at numerous programs throughout the world
