Louis Hugo Francescutti is very interested in reducing injuries in all age groups and especially in high-risk populations: Indigenous people, workers, drivers, youth, and seniors. Francescutti currently engaged in hands-on public health advocacy through the Homeless Transitional Intensive Care Project. This graduate student-led initiative was started in 2019 in exciting hands-on advocacy in public health course I teach together with one of Canada’s leading tobacco advocates, Les Hagen. Francescutti also actively involved in developing Edmonton's first free-standing palliative care residence, The Roozen Family Hospice Centre.
