Louis Chow, PhD, is the Director of Education at Home Base and oversees the Training Institute. The Training Institute provides online and in-person education to mental health professionals, first responders, military-connected family members, and health professionals who work with service members and their families. Dr. Chow is also a clinical psychologist and provides evidence-based treatments for Service Members with post-traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD) and other invisible wounds of war.
He is trained in several evidence-based treatments, including Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and is a certified trainer and consultant for Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. Before joining Home Base, Dr. Chow was a PTSD Post-Doctoral Fellow at the VA Boston, where he worked at the PTSD clinic and was a member of the Women’s Stress Disorder Treatment Team. He was educated at Georgia State University, where he obtained both his Master's and PhD in Clinical Psychology.
