Lorraine J. Foley BS, MD, MBA

Lorraine Foley, MD, MBA is currently the President of the Society for Airway Management. She has been actively involved with SAM since its inception in 1995 and received the first Distinguished Service award.

She invented the FAST (Foley Airway Stylet made) that was used to intubate through the ILMA. Some of her interests in airway management are the Dissemination of critical information of the management of the difficult airway and obstructive sleep apnea. Presently she is on staff at Winchester Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts School of Medicine in Boston.
