Lori Jeanne Tuttle joined San Diego State University in 2013 and is now a Professor in the School of Physical Therapy. She is the director of the Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Laboratory at San Diego State University, where her research has centered on rehabilitation approaches for the pelvic floor and surrounding musculature in women with pelvic floor dysfunction. She has experience in exercise interventions utilizing both human and animal models and non-invasive imaging techniques. She utilizes her experience as a licensed physical therapist to ask clinically relevant questions and has fostered interdisciplinary collaborations to create unique methodologies and approaches to these questions. Her work has been funded by private foundations, university grants, and the National Institutes of Health.
