Lori Dugan Brien DNP, RN, ACNP-BC

Lori Dugan Brien has over 20 years of acute and critical care nursing experience. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with her BSN in 1994 and began her nursing career in acute and critical care nursing in the metropolitan D.C., area afterward.

Brien went on to graduate school and earned her master’s degree from Georgetown University in 2000. She has been practicing as an acute care nurse practitioner in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in Arlington, Va., since that time.

In addition, Lori has been teaching in the AG-ACNP program at Georgetown University since 2006 and currently serves as the assistant program director.

Her research interests are Nursing, Cardiovascular Surgery, Critical Care Nursing, Acute Care Nursing, Critical Care, Healthcare.
