Lorenzo Franchi DDS, PhD

Dr. Lorenzo Franchi received his dental education at the Dental School of the University of Florence, Italy. He completed his Ph.D. in Preventive Orthodontics at the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Florence in 1997. In 2008 he specialized in Orthodontics at the University of Rome Sapienza. Dr. Franchi is presently an Assistant Professor at the University of Florence, Italy, and “Thomas M. Graber Visiting Scholar”, Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, School of Dentistry, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S. He has published extensively in the international literature and he has lectured at international meetings and symposia in more than 10 different countries. He has been Editor of Progress in Orthodontics from 2011 through 2102 and he is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Angle Orthodontist. His research interest and areas of expertise are early treatment, treatment timing, and dentofacial orthopedics.
