Dr. Lonny Yarmus is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include interventional pulmonology, minimal invasive diagnostics, and lung cancer. Dr. Yarmus serves as the clinical chief for the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and the research director of Interventional Pulmonology at Johns Hopkins.

He earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Maine Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed an advanced fellowship in interventional pulmonary medicine at Johns Hopkins and pulmonary and critical care medicine at Maine Medical Center. Dr. Yarmus' research interests include minimally invasive device development, central airway obstruction, lung cancer, lung transplant airway stenosis and interventional pulmonology.
