Liz Westcott is a registered nurse and currently holds the position of Department Head Clinical Health Care. Before coming to Oxford Brookes University Liz had a career in neuroscience nursing holding the roles of sister in neurology and then Senior Nurse in neurosurgery.
During this time Liz also became the first lecturer practitioner for neurology and neurosurgery in Oxford. Liz has led many developments in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences including the introduction of the nursing diplomas and foundation degrees.
Currently Liz is responsible for adult, children's and mental health nursing, operating department practice, paramedic emergency care and health and social care foundation degrees, cancer care, cancer studies, critical care, palliative care and advanced practice. Liz is also the executive lead for practice education, and is the Faculty link with CAIPE.
Liz was elected onto the Board of CAIPE in 2010 and is a member of FINE and the International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies (ICCMAS).
