Liyun Yuan MD, PhD

Dr. Liyun Yuan is a transplant hepatologist specializing in caring for patients with chronic liver diseases, hepatocellular carcinoma, and pre-/post liver transplantation. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Keck USC School of Medicine, where she further completed gastroenterology fellowship training. After that, she took an extra year of advanced training in transplant hepatology at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Dr. Yuan is a physician lead for national and international clinical trials for the treatment of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Diseases at USC. She has received multiple funding sources for research on hepatocellular carcinoma and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
