Dr. Lisa Studdert joined the National Disability Insurance Agency on 3 August 2020 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Markets, Government, and Engagement Group. Lisa Studdert was appointed acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Disability Insurance Agency on 02 July 2022. Prior to this, Dr. Studdert was Deputy Secretary of the Population Health, Sport, Cancer and Health Workforce Group at the Department of Health.
Lisa joined the Department of Health in June 2013 as a First Assistant Secretary in the Therapeutic Goods Administration and went on to lead the Population Health and Sport Division. As the Deputy Secretary responsible for Aged Care in 2018-19, Lisa led the Department of Health’s engagement with the Aged Care Royal Commission; and with responsibilities for sport, oversaw the reform of Australia’s sports integrity arrangements.
In 2011, Dr. Studdert was a member of the senior leadership team at the Australian National Preventive Health Agency. Lisa has a background working in international development and international health policy and programs, including with UN agencies and the Asian Development Bank from 2003-2009 in the Philippines and Vietnam. Dr. Studdert is a Ph.D. graduate of Cornell University, USA, and has a B.Agr.Sc (Hons) from the University of Melbourne.
