Lisa (mauser) Holtz MSN, RN, ONC

Lisa Holtz is currently a DSC Orthopedic Nurse Reviewer and has served The Joint Commission since 2016. Her full‐time role is that of Orthopedic Program Manager for an 11 hospital healthcare system in Atlanta with a robust Orthopedic program focusing on total joint, hip fracture, and spine procedures. While she spends the majority of her duties implementing Best Practice initiatives or a growing Orthopedic Program, she participates in overall system‐wide hospital Orthopedic transformation and growth. She has an in‐depth knowledge of pain management, and she has authored the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON) Orthopedic Nurse Pain Review Course 2.0. Her appreciation for the national opioid epidemic has allowed her to serve on her organization’s Opioid Stewardship and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Committees as a Nursing leader.
Lisa is active in NAON as she serves on their ACORN Committee (Advancing Careers of Orthopedic RN’s) whose goal is to promote and retain new Orthopedic nurses in their professional practice. Lastly, Lisa strongly encourages nurses to enhance their knowledge of the Orthopedic specialty as she serves as a NAON educator for the Orthopedic Nurse Review Course.
