Dr. Lisa Harvey-Smith is a Research Astronomer at CSIRO's Astronomy and Space Science division. Lisa is the Project Scientist for the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) and acting Team Leader for ATNF Science Operations Support. Lisa was member of the ASKAP team awarded the 2015 CSIRO Chairman's Medal. Her research tackles a range of topics including astrophysical masers, massive star formation, planetary nebulae, the origin and evolution of cosmic magnetism and supernova remnants. Lisa co-supervises a Ph.D. student, Shaila Akhter, who is studying massive star formation at the University of New South Wales.
