Linda Marie Farkas MD

Dr. Linda Farkas is the Chief of Colorectal Surgery, a Professor of Surgery and Director of the Rectal Cancer Tumor Board at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. In 2019, Dr. Farkas oversaw and lead the rectal cancer surgery program at UC Davis Health in getting accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), making it one of the first 9 accredited in the nation to achieve this recognition. Her clinical interests include assessing all patients for their risk of hereditary colon disorders as well as using various modalities for surgery: classis open, laparoscopic, robotic and transanal approaches. Her research and academic interests include hereditary colorectal cancer and perioperative care of surgical patients.
