Linda M. Spooner, PharmD, BCPS (AQ-ID), FASHP, FCCP is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS University and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Oklahoma. She completed a Residency in Internal Medicine Pharmacy Practice at the University of Texas at Austin/Brackenridge Hospital. She has provided patient care in a weekly outpatient HCV clinic for more than 12 years and has provided outpatient HIV services for 18 years. She performs patient education during initial and follows up visits. She also has written reviews, case reports, and editorials describing the role of the pharmacist in the management of HIV and HCV infection.

Additionally, she has presented numerous local, regional, and national continuing education programs to pharmacists who need updates in HIV and HCV management. She also wrote an ACSAP chapter on viral hepatitis and an HIV chapter in a nurse practitioner textbook, and she teaches HIV and HCV pharmacotherapeutics to second-year students at her school. She is a nationally recognized speaker in HIV and HCV, having presented at ASHP MCM, ACCP, AMCP, and APhA national meetings. She currently serves as the chair of the Committee on Nominations(CON) for the Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners in ASHP.
