Dr. Lam is currently Chairman, Department of Psychiatry at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests are Late onset major neurocognitive disorders Psychiatric epidemiology, Integrated intervention for psychiatric disorders, Early detection and intervention for Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia, Biomarker evaluation for Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia, Determinants of Health Aging, Epidemiology of mental disorders in Hong Kong.
