Dr. Linda Sekhon is the founding chair for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program. She has been a physician assistant educator since 1996. She has presented at several national conferences on how to incorporate clinical simulation technology into a PA curriculum.

During her academic career, Dr. Sekhon served as a member of the Site Development Committee for the Area Health Education Center (AHEC). She is a HRSA grant reviewer and has been involved with several grants during her academic tenure. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and in 2009 was honored by the academy for “Leadership Excellence in Community Volunteer Service”.

In October 2012 she received the Michael J. Habeck Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA). For over 10 years her clinical practice focused on Rheumatology during which time she has had multiple presentations and publications focusing on Rheumatologic conditions. She was honored by the AAPA in 2012 with a Paragon Publishing Award. She is a member of the Professional Development Review Panel and currently serves as Secretary for the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
