Linda C. Laux MD

Dr. Linda C. Laux, MD is the Lorna S. and James P. Langdon Professor of Pediatric Neurology and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy) at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She also serves as Associate Division Head of Neurology and Section Head of the Epilepsy Center at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Dr. Laux is a board-certified pediatric neurologist and epileptologist with longstanding clinical and research expertise in pediatric epilepsy, especially epilepsy syndromes and their genetic underpinnings, including Dravet syndrome. Her work encompasses both patient care and clinical research, with a focus on precision medicine approaches to childhood epilepsies. She leads clinical programs such as the Dravet Clinic and contributes to multidisciplinary trials and studies designed to improve outcomes for children with severe epilepsy.

Dr. Laux received her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. She went on to complete neurology and child neurology training, followed by a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy at Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University. Her academic pursuits include advancing the understanding of epilepsy genetics and participating in national and collaborative research efforts aimed at developing targeted treatments.
