Lina Jichi

Lina Jichi is Manager of Health Financing Advisory Department at the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (DOH). She has a Master’s degree in Math and Statistics and posts graduate studies in Mathematical and Actuarial Sciences at Purdue University. Since joining DOH in 2010, she has advised on several initiatives to set up sustainable and quality-driven health payment system in the emirate, including implementation of Diagnostic Related Group (DRG), Evaluation & Management (E&M) and optimized homecare reimbursement.

Lina has a strong actuarial modelling and research expertise in working with health care facilities and insurance companies to measure current health care cost in Abu Dhabi and modelling its future trend. Prior to joining DOH, Lina spent more than 10 years in senior actuarial roles in the United States, consulting on health insurance product management including new product design, pricing premiums and benefits, projecting claims experience and loss ratios for health insurance products mainly specialized disease products such as: cancer, heart, critical illness, accident, and long-term care products.
